Flow assurance package
The PVTsim flow assurance package comprises modules, which will fulfill the needs of the flow assurance engineer, who typically wants to investigate the risk of solids precipitation from petroleum fluids.
The flow assurance package allows the user to input and characterize fluid compositions in PVTsim or access fluid compositions in PVTsim fluid databases provided by clients or colleagues. Flash and unit operation calculations can be performed on the fluids, and the package also allows the user to generate property tables for the fluids. The risk of formation of hydrates, wax, asphaltenes, and scale can be assessed. The effects of inhibitors and formation water are taken into account.
