About the Job

Calsep is looking for a dynamic chemical or petroleum engineer for its office in Dubai to further develop Calsep's business in the Caspian region. The position will involve technical as well as business development activities with the focus on Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. The candidate must be fluent in the Russian language.

Calsep is a highly specialized company and part of the first year will involve training in Calsep's core technology and business activities. As you get familiar with Calsep's area of expertise, you will get more responsibility and eventually manage the client base in the Caspian region.

About the Company

Calsep's core expertise is PVT modeling, flow assurance simulations, development of customized software for PVT simulation and R&D activities within PVT model development. Calsep's proprietary software product PVTsim is used by more than 200 companies world-wide, including most major oil companies. Calsep is head-quartered in Denmark and has branch offices in Dubai, Houston and Kuala Lumpur.

Job Responsibilities

  • Business development (Including travel in the Caspian region)
  • Handling of Contract Issues
  • Client interactions/support
  • Technical presentations
  • Project proposals and technical reports
  • Teaching courses in the use of Calsep software
  • Consulting projects within PVT modeling, flow assurance and customized PVT software

    • Required Qualifications

  • A B.Sc degree in petroleum or chemical engineering or related field; M.Sc degree preferable
  • 3-8 years of experience in upstream oil and gas industry after graduation
  • Good knowledge of phase equilibrium calculations
  • Outgoing personality and a "Can-do" attitude
  • Ability to effectively present and communicate with clients and colleagues

    Software Engineer

    Copenhagen, Denmark

    Job

    Calsep develops software for the oil and gas industry and has a vacancy in the software development team. The software consists of a graphical (GUI) user interface and a simulation engine. The current position is in the GUI group, but the job will involve close communication with developers of the mathematical models and numerical algorithms used in the simulation engine.

    Job tasks

    The GUI group is responsible not only for software development, but also for automated testing and licensing protection, and the new employee will have a wide range of tasks, including

  • Code development
  • Software deployment
  • Automated testing
  • Licensing systems
  • Establish web based license management system

    • Qualifications

    Calsep wants to hire a software engineer who can take an active role in all phases of development of Calsep's commercial software products. Desired qualifications are

  • M. Sc. degree or equivalent
  • Programming experience (preferably in Visual Studio and C#.Net)
  • Experience with virtualization will be a plus
  • Ability to understand specialized engineering software applications

    • To ensure a further development of the software for the benefit of the users another important qualification is an interest in understanding how clients make use of Calsep's software.
